Mikele is an Edinburgh/Glasgow based artist currently studying architecture at ESALA (Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture). Her work focuses on ‘man-made’ objects found in natural coastal landscapes and contexts.

Mikele uses photography and digital line work in her compositions to highlight textures on these found objects which demonstrate the gradual process of oxidisation and corrosion.

Through her work, Mikele tries to illustrate how natural processes have the power to alter and deteriorate ’man-made’ objects yet create beautiful textures which essentially represent ‘time’.

Exhibition runs from the 26th August-28th September - Opening night 25th August
Venue: August 21 Coffee House, 89 Causewayside, Newington, Edinburgh EH9 1QG
